What does Mark look like?

My mom is a blogger now. Yes, my mama. Not only does she blog but her page was so much nicer than mine! Meesa (the baby of the family) updated her blog with the most adorable template as well. Licha (child 5/6) is to busy with "baby baby baby" to even start a page! She thinks she wants one but I bet she'll never update it. Poor Baby Mark will stay the same size and age for months before his mom remembers to share him through pictures with those that love him. Ha Meesa and Mama? Licha's to "busy" to be as cool as us anyway! As long as I get updates on my cutest nephew, Bowser I'll be happy. Don't know what Baby Mark looks like. He could be the best looking kid but I wouldn't know. Like I said, his mother doesn't send updated pictures of the angel.

Brother-in-law

Apparently I don't have enough pictures of my brother-in-laws posted. So here it is. Josh & Josh. My sisters did a good job in picking their mates. Even if they can't seem to control their body functions. I can't wait until they come visit. The entry wall is waiting for Josh on the right to paint it. Hopefully they come at the same time to build the garden planter I've always wanted. What great in-laws I have! On the real though... they are both hard working and loving men. We're a better family because of them. Love you J&J.

No More Twilight

I have been on the biggest reading kick ever! You would think that to be good thing but it's not. Not during summer vacation anyway. Poor kids. They have been doing most of the house work so mommy can have free time. Better chores that the duct tape and dark closet option. If you haven't read the Twilight series, don' t do it! Just walk away. It was like crack! It's been a few weeks since I've finished them and I still think Edward is going to come through my window and... I'm ready for him to convert me. After reading Blink, a book about decision making, my confidence in the decisions I've made is sky rocketing! It's OK to to make decisions by flipping a coin after all. And yes, I am usually prepared for the consequences that follow with little to no complaints. Read a book about an almost divorce, not bad. Hey Rach what was the title of that book? Can't seem to get enough of the Ensign. Even old issues too! Told myself that I wouldn't pick up another book until I finished the Book of Mormon again. Not doing to great on that one yet. I say yet because surely as the sky is blue a "life lesson" is on its way to persuade me to finish. If anyone wants to get ready for death, the next book is You Only Die Once by Margie Jenkins. Yae me! Hey Terina do you have the next book in the Constant Princes series? Don't think I would be getting into the lives of these books if most of you weren't PCSing this year! I guess I'll just be sad about it so it will over and done with and stop finding all these distractions. Funny, I feel better. Guess this wasn't about books after all.

Report Cards

The girls came home with great report cards again. I was so happy. WAS so happy until Anita asked what her report card was worth. I panicked. My brain froze! Instead of distracting the child or running away, I just sat there, with a forced smile. This beautiful child, the baby of the family looked straight into my eyes as to say "HA, I got you now" and asked to go to chuckie cheese. If I have to go to that, that place, Anita will unknowingly be scrubbing the toilets all summer long!

Hey Mom!

Hey Mom! Check out the goods mom. You want some of these pictures? I know you do. All you have to do it make one simple call with an offer. These aren't even the cute ones. I'll be waiting for that call.

Great Grades

Guess who got great grades this quarter? Yes, the princesses did! I promised to take them to dinner anywhere they wanted to go. #3 wanted McDonald's. #2 picked, as you can tell from the pictures, Pukie Cheese. It's no secret that the devil created chuckie cheese to drive parents crazy with all the bells and ding dinging and those flashing lights don't help and brake the bank with the worst pizza in the universe! What's funny is that there are TV screens all over the place telling kids to exercise and eat healthy. All this while serving greasy pizza and mountains of candy in the prize box. You know that I would never give kids the amount of money needed to win the bazillion tickets it takes for the big stuffed rat that's hanging up high with the lights shinning on it. But they sure had enough tickets for candy and the goofy jewelry that is only going to get caught in the vacuum anyway! This is to show you how much I truly love my girls. I pulled them out of school early. Told them how proud we were of them and recognized their hard work. Smiled at the children when we got to hell. Not once did I complain. Didn't even rush them out. Didn't yell. Just sat and read. Even took the girls to McDonald's for an ice cream afterwards. Good job girls! Mommy and Daddy love you.

Strawberry Time

Every year since arriving in NC we have gone strawberry picking at the same farm. Gross Farm has the best butter pecan ice cream in the entire universe too. The kids just have to always try to out do each other in who picked the biggest berries, who's faster, who can pick the most. Dew is no help when he is the one antagonizing them the most. Eight buckets of berries. Eight! Thanks Dew. There were enough strawberries to can three cases of jam, five small tubs of freezer jam, about six gallon size freezer bags, enough for strawberry shortcake twice and strawberry pancakes. Not to mention how many berries we ate during the processing of. This year the entire family helped with cleaning and hulling. It was an opportunity to see how we worked together as a family. If these are the kids that are supposed to care for Dew and me when were old....... it'll be interesting.
