April Fools

What's for dinner? Pie. It was so funny to see the kids faces when I put this on the table. Chocolate and strawberry pie, yum. No, meatloaf and mashed potatoes! I found this recipe in the latest Family Fun Magazine. Good way to sneak in beets too. That's right beets! Pure and mix into potatoes. Of course the Monkeys didn't find that out until after dinner. Anthony wants me to stop "sneaking" in good stuff to his meals.
Check out Nin! Can't you just see the disappointment in her face when she realized her strawberry topping was really mashed potatoes! I kept waiting for her to gag, like she usually does with potatoes. Where does she get the no white food thing from? Not my side! We don't discriminate. It must be the hubbys side. The poor girl ended up eating salad. Alicia thought the whole thing was great. Anything to get Nini.
I guess THE BOY liked it too because for leftovers the next day...... it was GONE! You should have seen the kid. Crumbs all over his face, table, floor and an empty pie plate. I'm going to really get them next year.

Look at her! How can you not laugh?!?!?!?!

Good Eats.

Teeth Cleaning Time

It's that time of the year again when the Morris Monkey's get their teeth cleaned. Can't you just see how happy Anthony is about it? I posted the pictures from the last cleaning 6 months ago so you can see how much they've grown in that short time. Forget growth charts, I have dental appointment pictures instead. I recommend taking these kinds of pictures to all moms.

Anthony

These are my favorite dentist pictures of the day. He always looks like he's in such pain! It's one of the few times that The Boy has to stay in one spot and listen to his mother. I love it! You can tell he is just concentrating so the poking and scrapping won't hurt. Then, here comes mom snapping away. The Boy really tried to say "no mom. Stop." but just couldn't because he would loose concentration! Yes, I really consider myself to be a decent mom. Believe it or not.

Alicia

Alicia says that "it's not good for mother to get joy from their children's pain." I guess laughing and taking pictures while your child that does not like going to the dentist is a good thing. When I left her to take pictures of the other kids, the hygienist dropped the scrapper thing on Alicia's head. How I wish I could have gotten a picture of that! Say AHHH!

Anita

What a great kid! Never will you hear any complaints about going to the dentist from this one. Anita always get the same hygienist that lets her get as many prizes from the goodies box as she wants. If I didn't have to fuss with paper work you would have gotten drooling, mouth open, tooth scratching pictures of this wonderful child. Next time!
